Rodger Delany-
Biography
Sometimes it takes two steps to get to Texas. In 2010, Rodger Delany left the comfort of his band to “find his own voice” trading his electric guitar for an old acoustic. The next couple of years were highlighted with acoustic shows of all sizes - coffee shops in South Jersey, Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA, legendary clubs in Philly and a famous little bar on Bleecker Street in New York City. Along the way, Rodger released “Moment of Truth” – an all acoustic CD highlighted by the title track and the piano ballad “Mischief.”
The second step to Texas involved a big decision and a long ride in a Jeep to move “two thirds of the way across the county.” In 2014, Rodger Delany and his family moved from a small town in South Jersey to the sprawling metropolis in North Texas. The goal was simple – “to find a better life in Texas.”
At the Toyota Music Factory in late 2021, Rodger Delany introduced “Before I Let Go” – a new CD combining the raw emotion of a singer/songwriter with layers of electric guitars, keyboards, drums and percussion. The Rodger Delany Band can be seen performing at premier venues all around the Dallas/Fort Worth area including a residency at Six Springs in Richardson, Texas.
In 2023, Rodger Delany was awarded "Most Original Style" for his performance of "Ray of Hope" and "Alright to Love (Christmas Again) in the Texas State Songwriter's Championship."."

Reviews & Comments
“Captures a moment in Time! (Before I Let Go CD)"
- Ric Hare, The Concert Connection
"Rodger Delany’s solo album “Moment of Truth” is one of those singer-songwriter efforts that hits you right in the face with emotions—longing, desperation, anger, deception, patriotism, love, loss—with a bare-bones approach that makes you feel as if you are in the songs, too….”
- Martin Franzen, Contributor to PhillyBurbs
"You know what I like best about Rodger Delany? He's not afraid to get quiet and personal. There's an immediacy to his songs. Check out 'Afterlife' to see what I mean."
- Charlie Silvestri, Host of Up Close And Acoustic (performance/interview radio)
"His bare-bones style frequently hints at Harvest/After the Gold Rush-era Neil Young, as well as the more stripped-down sides of Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen..." - CD Review of Moment of Truth
- Jim Price, "The Professor" on Q94 - Published in PA Musician Magazine
